Day 5

We went to a New Years Eve party and brought this super tasty warm bean dip!
It's so easy it's ridiculous, but I couldn't help myself, I made a second pan for home while I was at it!

2 cans of refried beans
1 can of diced tomatoes and peppers
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 small can of diced or sliced olives
Cheese. Lots of cheese.

Preheat the oven to 350
Drain the juice from tomatoes and peppers
Stir together beans, tomatoes, taco seasoning, and some cheese(use as much as you like, we like ours really cheesy)
Spread bean mixture in a baking dish, top with even more delicious cheese and olives
Bake for 25 minutes
EAT!!

Day 4

Currently reading: Twilight. Again. During the holidays I needed something I had already read that I wouldn't be too invested in, and Twilight is a relatively quick read.
Currently watching: Gossip Girl on Netflix. So good.
Currently obsessed with: Erin Jensen's Etsy Shop, I love it. So much.
Baby Milestones:  We've got a baby who learned to push things away and shake his head no if he doesn't want something, he's also able to get to sitting from any position, and he pulled himself up!
Favorite toy this week: Water Bottles. This kid loves water bottles.
Best time wasted: Napping with the baby yesterday morning. I slept with him until about 10:45, let him sleep more and got started on my day.
Gotta gossip:Drew Barrymore is engaged?! I liked her and Justin Long:(
Product that saved my life this week: Buzz Lightyear band aids. I tripped and my toenail split down so far I can't do anything about it, so I stuck Buzz on my toe to keep it from snagging my sock!
Looking forward to: Getting the Hunger Games, one of my kids at work told me it was the best book she's ever read. I'm stopping at B&N after work!

Day 3

I'm so mad at myself! I made a post yesterday and instead of posting, I guess I told it to save:/ Well here it is!

Someone decided to sleep the whole day away! He woke up this morning at 8:30, went back down at 9:45 and slept until 1:00 when I woke him to go to the sitters!

Day 3

Currently obsessed with? Sooo much!

Honestly though, I've been searching felt on Etsy. A LOT.

I became obsessed with felt everything after seeing this felt fire on Kelle Hampton's blog. AMAZING!

I mean really, who wouldn't want this adorable fajita set?

Or this super cute pizza and bread sticks?

365- A Blog for the Year

So one of my resolutions is to do a 365 blog. This means a blog post every day. Crazy, yes. Doable, hecks yeah! Not every day is going to be a big old post, I kind of have a schedule I'm going to do my best to follow.

Sunday: Books of the Week
Monday: Video Day!
Tuesday: Things I Love
Wednesday: Picture Day!
Thursday: Up for Grabs Day

Friday: Recipe of the Week
Saturday: Building a Bucket List

So I think these are mostly self explanatory, Sunday is going to be all of our bedtime books for the week; Monday is going to be a video of sorts; Tuesday is things I love, whether it be products, people, places; Wednesday is a picture of the monster so I can document him week to week; Thursday is pretty much random day, if I have a holiday to blog, a milestone, a trip; Friday is going to be either a family favorite recipe or the most successful recipe of the week; and Saturday will be the day I add something to my bucket list, or expand on something that's already there. (This is mostly for me and my motivation to do things, if I share with everyone I'll have to do it!)

So since it's Sunday I'll go ahead and list out our books for the week! Since Noah got so many books for Christmas I think we'll read some of his new ones:)

6 months

Half a year.
It's been half a year since we met our little man.
It's been half a year since I fell in love with his little wails.
It's been half a year since my son first held onto my finger.
It's been half a year since our family was completed(for now)

I'm done messing around with categorizing everything in these monthly updates, I'm just going to roll with it.

I'll start by saying we checked up on his kidney's this last month, and they are doing great. They aren't quite where they need to be, but almost!  He's also grown a ton! We found out he's 17 1/2 lbs and 27 1/4 inches long, he's doubled his birth weight and then some! This is partially because we started him on purees, and he loves them! He has taken a real liking bananas, pears with raspberries and prunes. On the other hand he hates veggies. He refuses sweet potatoes and mixed veggies, and is relatively okay with squash.

He's also figured out how to sit, and squirm across the floor. He's managed to get himself into a sitting position once by himself and the rest of the time we do it for him, he's trying hard though!  The sitting lasts a pretty long time, he's got great balance so far!

He had his first Thanksgiving, which he promptly slept through.
He had his first cold, which absolutely sucked. The stuffed up runny nose was a disaster.
He had his first full carrot, celery and bell pepper, which he loved chewing on.
He got to see his Auntie June! He loves Auntie June! He also met Auntie Abra:)
He met Santa! For a kid who has stranger danger issues, he loved Santa.
He shakes his head no. Not my favorite thing he does, but it's pretty darn cute.

There's not a whole lot more to say, as big of a milestone as 6 months is, he hit all the 6 month milestones last month.
